Learning Objectives

On completion of Documents and Design Startup in BIM 360, students will be able to do the following:

  • Set up their own company hub
  • Add companies and contacts to their contact directory
  • Create a template project with the appropriate BIM 360 services activated
  • Create a new project
  • Invite/Add internal team members to the project
  • Where to set initial permissions under the project administrator tab
  • Upload Files into folders under the Plans as well as Project Area

Lesson Notes:

We will learn to setup of a project utilizing the following documents/features that incorporate the tasks discussed in the lesson.

  • Adding, Modifying, and Disabling companies and contacts through the administrator console
  • Creating a new project under the project directory tab in the administrator console
  • Archiving a project
  • Using default roles and adding additional ones
  • Logging on to your project the first time
  • Project Start-Up Page
  • Waffle and Gear Buttons
  • Cards
  • Uploading Files to appropriate folders
