Civil 3D 101 and 201 presented by U.S. CAD Online University

Civil 3D 101 is designed to help new Civil 3D users learn how to use the industry-specific tools and workflows that Civil 3D offers. A broad list of courses that cover the Civil 3D interface and data organization as well as how to work with and manipulate Civil 3D object styles and settings. These courses touch on many different workflows and disciplines, like survey techniques and land development to site and roadway design.

Learning Objectives

On completion of the courses in this series, users will be able to do the following:

  • Understand and effectively use the Civil 3D interface
  • Explain and utilize the project management tools in Civil 3D
  • Create, Edit, and Annotate survey points and linework
  • Create, Edit, and Annotate Sites and Parcels
  • Create, Edit, and Annotate Alignments and Profiles
  • Create, Edit, and Annotate Assemblies and Corridors
  • Create, Edit, and Annotate Pipe Network and Grading Objects
  • Analyze design properties and export sheets using plan production tools

Civil 3D 201

Civil 3D 201 expands on workflows covered in Civil 3D 101. These courses dive deeper into topics like corridor and grading techniques as well as piping and analysis tools. Civil 3D 201 is intended to help users take their Civil 3D skills and productivity to the next level with in-depth instruction and workflows.  Civil 3D 201 requires registrants to have completed the Civil 3D 101 courses.

Learning Objectives

  • Better understand and utilize assemblies
  • Expand on Corridor modeling knowledge and advanced techniques
  • Effectively use Civil 3D’s tools for land development projects
  • Better understand pipe and pressure networks
  • Use the tools available to analyze and report pipe networks
