AutoCAD 101 presented by U.S. CAD Online University

AutoCAD 101 is designed to help new AutoCAD users get started with the software.  The courses will walk you through the basic tools needed to create new drawings, geometry, and annotation all the way through to printing sheets and check prints.

Learning Objectives

On completion of the courses in this series, users will be able to do the following:

  • Get started using AutoCAD software.
  • Execute basic drawing commands, editing operations, and advanced editing.
  • Practice drawing precision with tools built for accuracy.
  • Open, navigate, make changes to, and save AutoCAD drawings.
  • Use Layers to organize drawing files.
  • Create advanced object types, annotation, blocks, and hatching.
  • Set up layouts for printing, add dimensions, and print a drawing.

AutoCAD 201 presented by U.S. CAD Online University

AutoCAD 201 builds from AutoCAD 101 principles and dives deeper into common productivity tools used across the industry. You will learn more in-depth workflows for managing and working with blocks and annotation as well as how to make changes to how the AutoCAD interface is setup with customization. AutoCAD 201 requires registrants to have completed the AutoCAD 101 course.

Learning Objectives

On completion of the courses in this series, users will be able to do the following:

  • Effectively and productively work with AutoCAD.
  • Use tools for locating exact coordinates and track points.
  • Work with blocks and dynamic blocks.
  • Use annotation scaling to automate drawing scales.
  • Work with templates to save CAD standards and AutoCAD styles.
  • Customize the AutoCAD interface.
  • Work with external references.
